Sorry, curious may is the wrong word, I did know, that it will get light's, I just want to see them ;)
kinetic is, I would say, "futurelike" but possible...
But as I also don't know that much about car designs, I may be wrong...
This car is very nice! How long have you been rendering at postingtime? It's a bit noisy...
These mugs are great too.
I always wonder, how reflective things are, but when I look at a new object, I can see that this is correct! Only the interior of the room can't be reflectet, as there is none, except the mugs, is is?

Actually 'Kinetic' means 'shaped by motion'.
This is the latest trend in car design as you can see in the newest models.
Cars look like they are shaped by the wind and speed (wind tunnel?).
....As if the materialised car is more like a dynamic fluid than a solid mass.

CTZn, thats a great idea. will try that later this day

i dont use any reference pics but if you look closely, you sure find some cars which might have contributet some of their parts to this car (i think the front looks a lot like porsche). but thats probably an incident.

c'mon ppl! need more information on how you like the back of the car (because i dont like it much, but if u like it the i wont change... it can only get worse, i think)

Excellent job, really, I was affraid you would not answer because you would be copying some existing stuf at 99% but thats really excellent.

Well, since I'm here again (him, again :x :P ) I can tell I like the back of your car, it's quite massive but I like it like that. The problem is just it is too virgen of a surface, needs some lock for the 3rd door, the imatriculation board (how do you call that in english ?), the exhaust as Kram1032 stated... and maybe some little signalisation lights on the backside (the ones wich make that sound: tic tac tic tac tic tac when you want to turn argh), more stuff I mean !

In fact my former idea was an OUTtake, not intake as it has one already. A window may do as well tho...

Fuse,

..Maybe the back bumper can be changed
Have you tried a smooth bumper without the extra 'edges' (don't know how to call them).
Your overall concept shows a big 'slit' (again how do you call it?) that runs from the front to the back. When it reaches the back bumper, suddenly you introduce some extra edges that clash with that concept.

Just my 5 cent.

Little toshop tryout...it's too facetted so needs smoothing.
I also changed the side of the car a little (curve is bend up towards trunk).

update. new wire

Image

@CTZn: yes, that stuff is missing but i wont model the details before im done with the shape... that would be rather unwise in case i decide to change something.

@kwistenbiebel: yeah the idea behind the "big slit" was to include ralley stripes (i love those) to the shape of the car. you probalby noticed that this slit fades on the roof an on the hood so i thougt when it reaches the bumper... whatever... changed it

your changes to the side are pretty cool. i like it but i changed it a bit.

Wow, looking great.
That 'hard copy' of a rally stripe is a very nice idea.
I can't wait to see some rendered output of this firm car 'booty'.

Just a little thing: Making the slit all the way down the bumper seems to slice up the car in two halves. Maybe this is the effect you are going for, but personnally i would stop the cut somewhere halfway the bumper, avoiding the appeal of an apple that is cut in two. Maybe the slit can still be there (on the bumper) but less pronounciated and a little more subtle.

A mighty 'designers' eye you have their. You should do something with that talent .
I would buy such a car...however it looks very expensive..so i would be admiring it from a distance ;)

regards,
kwistenbiebel

@kram: no i didnt start rendering, but i will render tonight.

@kwistenbiebel: thank you! :oops:

i actually want to do an apprenticeship (what a funny word... i mean "Ausbildung" for everyone who is german) in technical product design. but its not very likely that i do that because i failed to graduate for the second time this year (ich hab mein abi voll in den sand gesetzt)... whatever

if someone will ever build this car ill make sure you get one for free or at least for a reasonable price :D

At last private Schools aren't that strict if you had "verkackt your ABI" ^^
If you show them a nice show realm about your work, they will take you
because you already good at what they are teaching, and private schools
are mostly interested having guys & gals that rock the house,
because thats their best advertise!

So if I were you, I would start to concentrate my 3D work on stuff that
such people would like to see
good luck dude!
