Hi guys. I have a question about instances in skindigo.
I have a car fully textured and with materials and i can do instances of it but is it possible to do instance of the car and change one material? in this case the colour of the car body. If yes how? If not is there any tip ou trick so i dont have a model so heavy and not having a load render so slow?
It´s because i have to show a render of a work that have to have 25 cars of 5 diferent types. And any help on this would be apreciate it
Thanks
David

Hi DacaD!
I think there is a way. When you make up your "car" component, leave the car body with SU default mat. Then, when you make your "car_dummy" model, paint the whole instances with different mats, without opening them. This way, the instaced "car" should have the mat you applied to the "car_dummy" only onto faces with sketchup default material, in this case your car body!
Try this technique in a simple geometry scene first!
Hope i helped
