sorry this is so basic of a question, but I hope you are happy to get somebody into the community, hopefully i can get better and help back.

SO

I downloaded the skindigo, i see the ruby file, i know where those go, but where do i place the folder with the 53 files that came with it? Does this just go in the same folder i keep my ruby files in?

the ruby file and the skindigo folder are both placed in your sketchup plugins folder.
