Fatal Error

Post by Dave R » Sun Oct 28, 2007 2:34 am

Greetings all. I just installed the current version of Indigo and the Skindigo exporter and thought I'd give it a try. I tried setting up a SketchUp model but I got a fatal error that I don't know how to deal with. I'm not sure whether I've done something wrong--missed a step perhaps--or if this is a problem with either the exporter or Indigo itself. See the attached screen shot. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Dave

Wecome to Indigo Dave R!

You seem to be using an older version of SkIndigo. Make sure you are using SkIndigo 0.9.1. Go to the Indigo Main Downloads Page to get it. Remove any old versions of SkIndigo as well.

Thank you Whaat. I'll see what happens with that.

Thank you again, Whaat. That seemed to take care of that part but now I seem to be getting another error. I suspect it means there's not going to be an image to look at when I stop the render process.

"saving Indigo image (.igi) to 'renders\im1193511742.igi'
Warning: IndigoImageExcep: Failed to open file 'renders\im1193511742.igi_temp' for writing.
saving tone-mapped image to 'renders\im1193511742.png'
Warning: ImageExcep: Failed to open 'renders\im1193511742.png_temp' for writing."

Now what to do?

Dave

Don't stop your render. Check your Indigo/renders directory and see if your image has been saved.
I get this error message sometimes, too. I am not sure why. Ono??
However, the image is still being saved.

Let me know if there is no image in your Indigo/renders directory.

Thank you again. That was speedy.

I got to poking around and discovered I had no "render's" directory. I made one and tried again. It seemed to work correctly then.

I got this after 10 minutes or so. Not perfect but I'm getting something.

Hi, not ment to hijack the thread, but I seem to have a similar problem to what is described above, and I am pretty sure I am using the latest version. Any ideas?

Regards

Check again,

You can't be using the latest version. Get it here:
http://www.indigorenderer.com/joomla/fo ... hp?id=2724

...and remove any other versions of SkIndigo on your system.

no problem!
I am curious....where did you download the wrong version? Was it from the 'Exporters for 3D Apps' page? I should probably remove those old versions because people are downloading the wrong version. You aren't the only one. :)

It was a link from pushpullbar, in the renders forum.
