i mean when i use an online material or a material i downloaded how do i scale it to my own benefits?

This should be in a FAQ...
Just use a dummy texture in sketchup that you adjust to the tiling you want. Then link to the IGM material using the "Linked IGM" material type in Skindigo material editor
