I'm a bit confused as to what you mean. Can you elaborate? What you are describing does not sound like anything I have experienced.
Well, when you create a material and render a preview for it, the preview for the next material is automatically the same by default.

Neo, there's a way to avoid this.
When you have to create a new material always click over the DEFAULT SKetchUp mat first, and then click over the "new mat" icon.

More ideas for your wishlist:
1. Some shortcuts to be able to set different resolution for the preview mat render;
2. Possibility to customize the render preview scene (model, lights,...);
3. Adding a picker in the "SketchUp Background color" (environment tab) to have the possibility to set more easily a constant color for SU background. I think that this picker should somehow be linked to the one which appears in the SU styles window;
4. Possibility to enqueue several renders;
5. A particular request: could it be possible to link the SkIndigo render settings individually to EACH sketchup camera? So that the first one has an ISO of 1000, the second one has an ISO of 3000, the third has 150 and so on with all the other parameters? After having set these, could be easy to automatize the process of launching some enqueued renders. I know that this last request is quite tricky, but I think this would be awesome.

Thank you Whaat in advance!

Nice ideas, pibuz!

The fifth one I had thought about, too, but I am worried it would end up confusing the users. Still...you may see this feature someday.

I need to rework the whole preview system at some point. However, I think it is possible already to create your own preview scene. Just create an IGS file and call it 'IMPcustom.igs' and put it in the 'SUPreviews' folder (inside the 'skindigo' folder).

Just name the material 'previewmaterial' inside the IGS file and it should work. At least, I think it should work...sorry if I'm wrong! :)

Oh...and there is already a way to enqueue several renders from the same SKP file. However, it's not documented anywhere. :oops:

I don't even remember exactly how to do it. I think you just have to change your scene delay time to 1s and transition time to 0s. Then, export a scene tab animation with a 1 second frame rate.

I don't think that would confuse anybody: one prepares all the settings for each scene, and that's it. If i go back to a certain scene I re-call the previous settings I used. I think this is quite linear.

..now..THAT IS CONFUSING! :lol:
So there is some way, we have just to play with it a little, I know I know.. Let's do that. I love to play :wink:

Yes I know there is a way, but it is still quite puzzling, don't you think? Moreover there is the problem that if I want different light conditions for each scene I'd probably have to change some camera parameters to achieve a correct exposure. That's why I think that my requests n.5 and n.4 should be implemented in parallel.

Oh yes, Pibuz's 5th request is really great, i am actually working on a model, and one scene is prepared for landscape view, and the other for vertical view, and it would really be useful to not have to always change reolution, camera etc...when going from one view to another.

hey great new! i bought my lifetime licence! i m so happy! :D Yarrrr!!! let's make a party at Whaat's future wip house! haha

hi
i have a little idea of request, but, i don't know if it is directly linked to skindigo or indigo
Last week i was playing with blender, and i was leraning how to do the texture baking, so that the 3Dmodel had its own shadows and natural lights rendered as textures on it. This is so amazing for real time walkthrough visualisation when you want some realism directly in the 3D model.
it would avoid having to render a Image per image video to show only a few seconds.

is it possible? :twisted:

....to ask something really difficult:
http://www.happy-digital.com/autograss/ ... orials.php

Could it be possible? PLEEEEAAASE? :lol: :lol: :lol:
This could be really cool: something absolutely NOT heavy in SU viewport, but so effective in the final render...
I know this is a huge effort I'm asking you, programming-wise, but you told me I was asking easy stuff, so... :wink: :lol:
Jokes apart, it would be really gorgeous.. :D

oh +1 I saw it on the sketchucation too! I dunno if it is something that could be implemented in skindigo or more to sketchup but for sure it rocks!

@Pibuz : for the moment, i use the compnent spray tool and a little grass patch, it works quite the same way, but this Autograss plugins is realy godly! If you re interested just for curiosity if you don t know it tell me i ll send you the plugins.

Thank you, Djego: you're so kind :D
But I already use the same rb and a grass patch :lol:
you see: there is no plenty of methods to do some decent grasses! :lol:

It is technically possible to add a similar feature (kind of like what suvakas has done for 3DS max), although it would be quite a bit of work. Maybe in SkIndigo 5 :wink:

HI

Would it be possible to have this shader in the future release of skindigo with the orher preset materials?
http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=7505

I don t know how complicated it is to manage to have two colors on one shader, and how we are going to get the effect in skindigo? something like a picker to pick color 1 and color 2? but it would be very cool :)

Regards
Djegoo

Hi djegoo,

There is a long term plan in place to make shader's much more user-friendly. Until that plan is put into place, I will probably not be adding preset shaders to SkIndigo.

The good news is that whenever Ono releases the new Indigo that supports those shaders, you will be able to use them immediately in SkIndigo just by copy-pasting the code into the shader editor.
