"Pick focal" point is there and it obviously would still be an option. I think we should think of these more as tools for users to pick (as per their needs/preferences) as opposed to thinking about them in terms of which one is "best."

"Pick focal" point is there and it obviously would still be an option. I think we should think of these more as tools for users to pick (as per their needs/preferences) as opposed to thinking about them in terms of which one is "best."

The only reason I can see to have a 'focus on selection' is for exporting an animation. Otherwise, the current pick focal point tool should offer all the control you need.

The focal point is set to a point in 3D space that does not change even if your camera settings or position changes.

If you want to reset the focal point, just set auto-focus to on.
