help me with high resolution renders.....
Re: help me with high resolution renders.....
I have a new machine, but it still has the error message if I go over 3000 pixels. I have far more processing power/graphics/ram than the previous machine but the problem is exactly the same. I'm new to this game, so im sorry if you guys have explained this to me and im missing the point.

Re: help me with high resolution renders.....
Did you set the super sample to 1 ?
This is very important parameter for doing large renderings. The SS number multiplies your image in memory. So when set to 2 you are actually rendering 6000 pixels instead of 3000.
btw: How much memory is "far more" and are you using 64 bit op sys?

I had 1 gig ram (cringe), now have 4. But alas am running 32 bit. How do I actually change the supersample factor?

Re: help me with high resolution renders.....
If you're running 32bit, then Indigo won't be able to use your 4 gigs. It can access only like 2 or so (don't remember the exact amount). So I advise you to update your op sys and Indigo to 64bit. You are not fully using your hardware at the moment (this also goes to other apps too, not just Indigo)
I don't know from where you can change the SS parameter inside Sketchup exporter. Browse around some setting panels or something. Or wait for some Sketchup user to answer.

Cool, thanks Suvakas, and to everyone else who helps with my learner questions, hopefully more learners will find these questions and answers useful.
Would love to go 64 bit but am still getting to know the computer game (being an agriculturalist) so dont have the know how to navigate compatability issues with other software or to run a partition (if thats possible). Perhaps soon however....
