Sketchup has a fog setting that renders it inside the model, that is what he used above I believe. It doesn't have very much control on where it is though, just foreground and background.

Whaat,
what is the difference between Specular and Glossy Transparent?
Like, when to use which one?

Thanks

Use specular when you want a perfect dielectric material. It will render faster than a Glossy Transparent material. Specular materials have perfect reflection, glossy transparent materials do not.

It's just turning on fog in Sketchup. Although i found by rendering an outdoor scene with fog that the sketchup fog controls don't correlate to where the fog is in the final render. I put the fog in sketchup way in the background, but in the render it was all the way to the camera.
