hey guys. perhaps im just stupid here. i did what you said, and everything seems fine untill i try render. then i get a message "Warning: No environment map has been set" (Although im sure i have-Plugins\render settings\environment\environment map selected\black checked)

when i so ok to the warning, it thinks a little and then i get an error message.

However, when i change the settings to sun and sky, it renders just fine.

what am i doing wrong?

when you say environment map do you mean background color? or vice versa? the black check box does not apply to the environment map settings. it is used for the sketchup background color setting. hope ive understood your question properly. gl

Yes, you need to check Sketchup Background Color and the Black box.

This was a little confusing to me when I first opened the new gui because the divider lines in the box make it look like the Black checkbox and the Environment Map radio button go together.

I thought about suggesting a change to Whaat, but once you realize how it works, it doesn't matter.
