indigo not starting when "Render Scene" is selecte

Post by BennitoJuarez » Thu Oct 25, 2007 12:50 am

I'm having trouble getting Indigo to initiate when I click on the "render scene" icon. I've set the scene through Sketchup, and it exports as normal when I click on "render scene", but nothing happens after it exports. I have to start Indigo manually from a shortcut on my desktop to start the render process.
Help anyone...?

Questions:
1) Did previous versions of SkIndigo work to automatically start Indigo?
2) Check your Indigo 0.9 Stable directory. Is there a file there called 'autorender.bat'?
3) Next time, try 'Render Scene' with the Ruby Console Window open. (Window->Ruby Console) Then let me know of any error messages you get.

ok... I see what's happening... according to the Ruby Console, Vista is denying acess to this directory...so it's not starting.
Thanks ~

I thought that could be the problem. You need to change the security permissions for the Indigo 0.9 folder.

I think you just right-click on the folder name and go to 'Properties', then click on the 'Security' Tab.

Change the permissions for the folder to allow full control for the appropriate Group or User name (not sure wihch user name...might take some trial and error)

Hope this works.
