IGS Import Anyone?

Post by Whaat » Wed Sep 26, 2007 8:52 am

I thought it might be useful to create an IGS importer so I took a crack at it. Here is the result so far when I try to import drbouvierleduc's custom preview scene...

Obviously, there is lots left to implement but it shouldn't be too hard. I will continue to work on this from time to time but I still keep quite busy working on the exporter.

I thought it would be nice to be able to import Ono's test scenes into SketchUp so I could play around with them. Also, Google SketchUp does not have OBJ import/export (Pro version does). This project might also turn into a OBJ import/export script for SketchUp.

If someone is interested in taking over this project to speed things up, be my guest!

When you say IGS I assume you mean Indigo's not the more common IGS or IGES used by many cad programs.
