SKIndigo UV mapping tools on curved surfaces?

SKIndigo UV mapping tools on curved surfaces?

The SU texture positioning tools work fine on flat surfaces, but don't show up on curved faces, even only slightly curved ones? What to do then?

Turn on 'view hidden geometry'. Then click on one of the newly visible faces (which will be a planar face)
