WTF happened to subdivision settings?

Post by tf2382 » Wed Apr 03, 2013 1:22 am

I looked in the Material Editor, and for some reason the Mesh Subdivision settings which were there in all the previous version (as far as I'm concerned) are gone! What happened?

Subdivision is now handled on a mesh-by-mesh basis. Select the mesh you want to subdivide, right click and go down to 'edit active mesh' you will now find the settings which used to be in the material editor. This allows you to pick and choose which meshes to subdivide (only ones which need displacement & are close to the camera for example).
