Hi,
I'm using sketchup and was using the free version of indigo, until last week I bought a copy of RT. However, when I want to render a scene it still sends it to the trial version of indigo, so I get the watermarks and reduced resolution etc. Does anyone know how I can re-direct so that it renders in RT? I can't get my head round how to export PIGS files etc. so am basically still restricted to the free version.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Changing sketchup render output.
Re: Changing sketchup render output.
I assume you've managed to licence Indigo correctly and its showing as the full version, not the trial version in the 'about' tab?
I had a similar thing but with differing versions of indigo rather than the trial - my issue seemed to be down to the way my 64 bit windows program files are named but the theory may be applicable to you.
I downloaded the latest version 3.4.4 to update my older version 3.1.1. For whatever reason the installer was installing the latest version of SKIndigo in the location C:\Program Files whereas the older version I was trying to replace was installed to C:\Program Files (x86). Sketchup was pointing at the old version in the x86 folder so whenever I hit render, it found the old exporter version and kept throwing up a compatibility error between the latest version of Indigo renderer and the older version of the SKIndigo exporter.
So, to cut a long story short (sorry!) check you haven't got two separate folders which is confusing SKIndigo. If so, just copy and paste the install data across which worked for me.
Alternatively, just uninstall everything indigo from your PC and then start the install process again. Hopefully if the trial version no longer exists, a fresh install will fix the file paths that SKIndigo needs to export to Indigo.

Re: Changing sketchup render output.
You can change which Indigo path SkIndigo uses by going to the following menu:
Plugins > SkIndigo > Set Indigo Path
Then select your new Indigo RT executable.
Plugins > SkIndigo > Set Indigo Path
Then select your new Indigo RT executable.
