Not that easy to provide a timeframe, but for sure it will run the latest Indigo core. Most of the functionalities will be there but maybe some might be integrated later.

Re: Indigo exporter for Softimage|XSI
Some news on the development?
I written a several exporters for Softimage (PovRay, YafaRay, LuxRender ..) and I can contribute with my experience to this project.
Unfortunately, like many other Spanish / Europeans, I need an employment. Although also might collaborate somehow.
Is there any possibility?
Thanks in advanced.

this pure underground, have fun try install Xindigo to XSI 6.5 (Adv 32) and ... work after export to 4.6.0! but for some reason, when trying to export to version 7.01 (Adv 32), as on the screenshots of the author of this plugin, Blend material errors occur
ps XSI 6.02 could not be found on the internet, it is listed in the red book of the dinosaur era (exception stripped down demo version 6.01 https://www.moddb.com/downloads/xsi-mod-tool-601)
Xindigo is a great alternative to Indigo's built-in material editor, as it supports the node system
also exported with a tri mesh, with a fairly smooth surface (probably XSI has a better export of vertex normals than Blender 3.5?)
