thank you!! :D

i notice always some strange behaviour when i import to c4d and export to indigo.. rotation, scale, smoothing problems. if i create the object directly in c4d everything is ok! i don´t know..

i´m getting a core2duo tomorrow: i am going to test further, and QUICKER!!

ciao!

ill have to rewrite parts of my obj export. this could take longer and i wont do it today.

forget it. i couldnt sleep, so here it is

------------------

CINDIGO 0.8 - BETA 1.2

download exporter here (or below)

The file PC versions for R10 and R9. (R10 users will have to rename the "cindigo0.8.1.cdl_R10" to "cindigo0.8.1.cdl")

Mac version will follow soonish.

please tell me if you find bugs or have specific requests. i will try to fix/implement as fast as possible.

new in 0.8 - beta 1.2:

* have a look at the console after exporting, it prints errors! :)

fixed-list 0.8 - beta 1.2:

* texture mapping bug
* not crashing anymore when there is no uvw tag or a material link not set

known bugs/issues 0.8 - beta 1.2:

* sometimes you have to guess the right fields, didnt find out how to hide them yet
* normal problem with .3ds export (=> .3ds export disabled)
* normalization of Vertex Normals is disabled(doesnt work properly), indigo will do that for now :) (and it takes very very long)

please post bugs :!: :!:

a good tutorial can be found here (only german and italian, hope someone will translate it to english soon).

still no sample scene

Hello! :D
I downloaded the exporter and done the steps you described in your tutorial. But when I run the start.bat Indigo opens with the Message "could not open inifile.txt" but inifile.txt is definetly in the indigo directory :(
I use Indigo 0.82 and Cinema4dR10
edit:
works fine if i start indigo.exe directly
one bug i think i found is:
primitives of c4d don't work properly! cubes for example i have to convert to polygon object. spheres not.
when i try to use specular materials i get a "fatal error" look at attachment
but probably only my fault. can someone explain to me how to make reflective materials or glas?

indigo does only suppoert sphere primitives and planes.

in the material settings you have to check "export internal medium" then it should work fine.

and you cant open a scene over command line any more (or start.bat)

Why that?
How does network rendering work now?
Or did I get something wrong?

Marco, that´s awesome !

Please tell us how you did that ! Don´t make me jump into the car and drive all the way to Cologne to get the secret out of you by force ! (It´s just a fifteen minute drive from the north down, but with all that rain coming down at the moment, I´d rather not step out of the house ;) )

But more important, as usual the important infos are missing, i.e. cpu and memory setup and render time.

I just yesterday found out what nifty things can be done with place on points and repititions, but I was too hesitant to be so bold an test a poly heavy scene with Indigo. But now, I might just do that !

Now i checked "export internal medium" and I don't get this error-message. But my transparent material has no IOR, but I set the IOR value to 1,5 in the "external medium" options. And the material has no reflection either :( Can somebody help me or share material settings? (Indigo 0.4 was way easier :P :P )
