omg!
triblepost!
Somewhat special xD
ok: If I can see correctly, your C, N and G aren't correct in .obj, therefore it's possitioned correctly.
.3Ds doesn't have problems with any letter, but it's positioned wrong...
Have you also tested an .xml?
Does it work corretly, there?
Nice 9 pics, by the way.
Hint: Don't be that Impatient when posting

thanks...

One problem, I have: I don't have C4D

I know: It's the C4D Forum, but some things can also be solved by other-App-Users
Hmmm.... Sorry, I don't think, that is one of them...

.obj needs to be triangulated before export. wait for the next release or do it by hand.
dont get why there is still a rotation problem with .3ds...
will have a look at it

Maybe because in obj and Cinema the Z plane is for depth but in 3dmax Z plane is the height.
Cinema and Maya:
Width = X
Height = Y
Depth = Z
3DMax:
Width = X
Height = Z
Depth = Y
I'm gessing, not shure if this is the cause, but this is something that almost drive me crazy in 3DMax

Cheers

Hmmm....
Actually, I prefer the system of 3Ds:
It sounds more logical....
Blender also uses Z as heigh.
And in maths, where we do 3D-vectors and stuff atm, it's the same way!

Here we always use the Y plane as the heigh.
When we got a calculation in two planes we always use X and Y for width and heigh. Think is something like
metric vs. british measures

@protocultura:
yes im aware of that. thats why objects dont get roteated before exporting them to .3ds.
maybe i just thougt in the wrong direction(happens sometimes, then im confused and fuck up everything(this is not only related to programming

)). ill have a look at it later.

I did some test, here the Stuff I found:
- Exporting mesh of Light sources to .obj doesn't work
- using the same Material on several Objects exports the material multiple times
- henyey_greenstein can be RGB too (as far as I remember), not only uniform.
- your export of RGB colors seem to be inaccurate, because you clamp the colors. 0.1839 becomes 0.18 etc.
- NK material Export doesn't work for me
- I miss the fresnel Scale option
- The Render Setting Tag has a empty drop down menue,
and some unused menus (perhaps for envmaps in future?!)
Stuff I would like to see in future releases:
- Instancing based on C4D instances! After creating a instance of a Indigo taged Object, the instance get exported without need to tag each of them.
- The material Tag should only show the options that are available for the chosen Material Type, diffuse, phong etc. at the moment everything is shown for each possible material...
- A drop Down menu for NK materials (like in BL's exporter)
