"Bug"? Cindigo Instances not working with HyperNURBS

Post by zeitmeister » Sat Oct 24, 2009 12:55 pm

If you throw an Indigo Instance object into a HyperNURBS object, the instances dissappear in editor and Indigo GUI when rendered.

I know that this might not be the idea of an instance, but the C4D instances work when doing that.
It would be nice to find a similar solution to the Cindigo Instances, because it might become very unhandy when working with many objects and instances.

What do you think? Is it even possible?
Cheers, David

Thats because C4Ds instances are just copies which can be manipulated (unless you enable 'render instance' in c4d R11.5).

The Indigo instance does not hold any polygonal data, which the hyper nurbs tries to use. so when you throw it in a hyper nurbs it will just do nothing and the instance is also skipped in in-editor rendering and on export (because it is used by a generator, eg hyper nurbs).

So no, this isnt possible :)
