Question about FAQ

Post by Neo1975 » Sat Oct 28, 2006 12:15 am

Hi,
i'm quite new of this forum. I had tried for some daies Indingo, and I like it, although it's quite slow, but it's possible to see future scene i n some minutes.
So, in faq, at this page http://www.indigorenderer.com/drupal/?q=node/36 I read only a TODO. I know that Indigo isn't opensource. Some times ago I had write a little feature for blender. I'm a programmer, I don't know very well phisics of light but I would like to help you in some things like gui or take care about web server, try to port on linux, so who develop the core can focus all about this task.

Bye

Welcome to the forum!

Your enthusiasm is contagious :)

Nick is the programmer of Indigo, and at this point, he hasn't really intimated any interest in additional programmers helping him.

I supposed it, but I trust in collaboration. Only one had realized a great renderer like Indigo, but I think that a team of 2-3 programmers will make the best renderer unbiased.
Why Indigo is free? It is free becouse is a software for everyone?
At this time we have some great opensource-free software: Blender, Yafray, and Indigo is only free. The first two had rise up when become opensource, this becouse many people in the world partecipated on it, like me in blender. I wrote a simple code for blender, but now it is little better than before.
