normal smoothing artifacts - tessellate your sphere more.

Thank you OnO.
No problem now with Efficacy scale enabled.

If I the emitter 180 degrees, then I see a reflection.
Rendered with bidir and hybrid. With 0.8 there are no problems !
What wrong do I make ?

Hi Camox,
I think there is something wrong with how you are modeling the emitter.
Make it a meshlight; make it out of two triangles, and make sure the triangle normals are pointing down.

Thx Ono, but the result is ever the same. I see caustics and shadows but no reflection on the glass sphere.

I continue to try.

The first picture (without the reflection) has a different camera focal length and camera position then the other two (that have the reflection). Adjust your camera position in the first image and then render again. The emitter reflection might be on the other side of the glass sphere...

Thx Whaat for your help but that is not the problem. Here the scene with the same camera settings.
I found the error. It was because of a wrong exporter object tag.

I dont know if kerkythea is open source or not...
But theoretically (and im speaking in very simplistic terms here im sure that its not actually that simple...) wouldnt it be possible to replace the render engine of kerkythea with indigo and still have the interface? Or maybe even use the blender code?

i think test 3 vs test 4 there is no diference in rendering times or quality improovements..i make a quick 15 minutes test and the noise amound and quality was the same.....
