If you are going to buy a new rig, and 3D rendering stuff is what you are interested in, the is NO WAY around a 4core system, even a intel skulltrail 2xquadcore system could be interesting, or building a cheap, but powerfull cluster of renderslaves, combined to a powerfull über-computer using linux...

Hi all! My first post.... I was in the middle of a modelling project, and I thought to test the rendering speed with my own machine and my father's new (and cheap) laptop.
