Everything is modelled the way I think it should be i.e. the "balls" have a thickness and the outer part has a thickness and the water, both coloured and colourless is whole solids.

Thanks for the comments from both of you. @zsouthboy: I'm not sure what I can do with the normalsmoothing... It's on and my normals are pointing in the right direction. How do I fix it? @ave: Yeah they look kind of flat, but they have the same material as the outer shell, so I have no idea how to ma...

Galileo thermometer

Wow there's happened a lot since I last found me some time and some inspiration to do some 3d-stuff. I must say Ono's the man! Well this was made for the 3dtotal smc which is running right now. It took a lot of time to get the precedence working since I hadn't used it before. I still think it's a bi...

It seemed that it didn't calculate anything after the window became irresponsive, but now I had two pictures I could combine, and after some denoising in GIMP it turned out quite nice I think:

I tried to start a new rendering last night, but this morning the indigo window was irresponsive. It had stopped after 3h and 40 min. The strange thing was that the CPU still was used 100%, so I just left it and went to work hoping that it was still rendering... Has anyone expirenced something simil...

Ah, that's much clearer. I thought you were talking about the material. I actually hadn't noticed until now that it wasn't smooth...

I'm not sure what you mean with adding some phong shading? I thought it was phong shaded?

Thanks for the comments :). I rerendered it with a better mesh, so it ain't that edgy.

@Kram: hehe, I wasn't aware that there've been 3 before mine, but I do think I remember the first one. Long time ago in the old days :).

Ball Chair -rerendered2

Hi everybody, here's one I did last evening. Can't take much credit for it: concrete textures are by BbB and the set up is heavily inspired by this picture.
But I made the model myself :)
C&C are welcome.

Thanks for your comment. It's modeled in Blender with poly's for the main "body" and a curve for the "arms".

Hey guys and girls (are there any girls?). Well, I haven't posted anything since v 0.6 I think, and there sure have happened a lot! This is a small scene I made a couple of days ago. Just a simple scene and a HDRI map. Comments are welcome :o)

Very nice Ono! :D
Just a simple question: Is it possible to get parameters higher than 10? It would be nice.

Thanks again for the nice comments. @neepneep. I didn't save the EXR. I don't even have photoshop (I'm really(!) bad at postprocessing) @DaveC: Thanks a lot. As long as you only use it for personel stuff you can have the fender. Just give me a mail-adress and I'll send it (if I can find the .blend, ...

Thanks for the help with the tonemapping. I'm playing around with it right now. @zsouthboy: the couch is modeled in blender like the rest of the scene. If it helps you there's a wire here . I think one of the most important thinks when making a couch is the material. It can't look soft with a shiny ...
