In your render it looks like the corner of the rotated row of the cube is intersecting the floor there. Then again maybe you just have a funny shaped hole in the boards right under the cube.

I think it looks like a leather teapot. Very cool, but not something I've seen before.

Is it just me, or does the lamp on the right not have the same black metal cover thing on top of it that the one on the left has?

You need to increase the number of threads being used in the system tab of blendigo.

I think the label needs to be positioned a little closer to the glass. It looks like it's just hovering next to it right now. Other than that, it looks outstanding.

The candle looks a little odd to me. The ridges on the bottom and the top look a little off. It kind of looks like you took a cylinder in blender, moved the vertices up and down at the top and then stuck a subsurf on it. Those triangles on the ends of the cylinder combined with the subsurf are makin...

You want to look at the second line. The samples / second (or its inverse seconds /sample) let you know about the speed of the computer.

The second line just tells you how many samples have been rendered per pixel. It tells you more about the quality of the image than the speed of the computer.

Can you give us the specifics on the SSS settings for the leaves and a general idea of how thick you made them? It's looking good. Wouldn't it be faster to get that effect with a diffuse transmitter and a single sided leaf? I thought that was one of the things diffuse transmitters were made for.

flowers in a vase

Pretty simple: some roses in a vase. The flowers themselves are a blend of a diffuse transmitter with a regular diffuse material. I'm not sure what's going on with fireflys on the petals, they don't go away with increased render time. As a side note, I noticed that the water in the vase renders blac...

These are some pretty impressive caustics here. I thought I'd get in on the action too. I set up a nice mirror box and was going to let the light bounce around in there for awhile, but I can't seem to get the beam to bounce off the mirror walls. I've tried both a high ior specular and a high ior, hi...
