Ok, now I've understood what you mean... Yes, I think to have found two different bugs: this one is about env-map, looking brown instead of showing the correct image, the other thread is about exit portals: with 1.1.6 the window is black, with 1.0.9 I can see through the windows. The scene in this t...

4 threads.
Win Vista, Intel core 2 Quad Q6600
I've tried with a single thread, but the result is the same:
ok with 1.0.9.3, wrong with 1.1.6

env-map rotation

Wow, Thanks a lot Ono !

Before writing I searched the option both in the latest manual and into the forum, but I never found it.
Is it to be released in a future release or my search wasn't so smart ?

ENV-MAP and ExitPortal bugs in 1.1.6 ?

the same composition renders differently the env-map between 1.1.6 and 1.0.9: look out of the window (no glass), 109 is ok, 116 is just yellow/brown. <env_map> <latlong> <path>../../pisa.exr</path> <gain>4E+8</gain> </latlong> </env_map> <camera> <pos> -1.609610901 -3.138067017 2.098994751</pos> <up...

env-map rotation

Would it be possible to add a rotation matrix to an env-map (round the vertical axis should be enough) just to set which part of the background will be in front of the camera without having to change (shift) the original exr file ?

cubemap from a probe

Sorry, I can't understand what you mean. How can I "Build a cubemap from a probe" ? Just to be clear my problem is: given an interior scene, I need to make a cube map of it (or a spherical projection) for viewing it inside PTviewer, like a QTVR image I can work with an exporter or manipulate camera ...

making vignetting an option

I think that the vignetting of the image, despite it reflects REAL light simulation throuh a camera lens, is indeed a side effect that everybody tries to eliminate in real pictures, when present. Saying that, I think that vignetting should be an option (ok, default ON), not a fixed feature, so that ...

environment camera

I think that an environment camera would be very useful, both for generating envmaps for subsequent scenes and for creating panoramic images.

Ok, Thanks to everybody.
I'll surely solve the problem searching for the virtual strobe or generating a white vignetted image and subtracting it from my real images.
Meanwhile I'll request an environment camera, endeed useful for making env_maps

I tried changing aperture: a smaller one isn't useful, a really big one reduces my depth of field and almost everything goes out of focus (i get a uniform blurred white image) The only way I can imagine is to combine my white vignetted image together with the real one with GIMP, but it's hard to obt...

Image borders darker than center

I Just noticed that if I render a simple flat white surface illuminated by a sunlight, the image is darker at borders: the wider viewing angle, the bigger is the effect (The effect is visible in every scene, but a white surface makes it more visible). This is a real problem for me because i need to ...

back faces ?

With Indigo1.0.9 I've noticed that a triangle with specular phong material looks black if his vertices, projected on the viewing plane, are clockwise (or antiCW ? I can't remember): it seems that it ignores the normals given in the model.

Re: Where's SkIndigo 1.0.9? Blame it on Vista...

Windows Vista Compatibilty file system! ... Does anyone understand why this would happen? How do I prevent this from happening on other users computers? As I know, Vista doesn't let anyone but Administrator to write directly in c:/program files. I personally resolved the problem disabling UAC (user ...
