Hmmm ... Maybe first, coul'd You make a region render of Your scratches and let it renders some time, one hour or two, in order to see more precisely what's happen ... Second, maybe the bump heights values are inverted ? You coul'd try to invert Your image in some 2D program' and make another test r...

I agree Stur, very effective ...
That's why I put "simple" between quotes ... to mean "not so simple" ... :D

All renderings here are very amazing for a newbie like me, that use Indigo just for a month.

Cool :) rendering Mr SmartDen ! Happy to see a "simple" rendering from the author of Blendigo ! (many thanks for this great script btw. :D ) Just one question : the water get the same aspect as the ice from the cubes ... Isn't there a difference of IOR or something between melt down and frosted wate...

I agree, nice start ... But ... In the upper-left corner, leaves seems to be floating in the air ... Is it a style choice or You plan to refine that later ? :) Grass made with the drBouvierLeduc's "Blender Grass Tutorial" ? (I'm on it, and my results are not as good as I expect first ... It maybe ne...

And is it possible to blend an emitter with it to create a glow around each (or a group of ...) these fireflies ? (i'm a newbie in Indigo, forgive me If I said some foolish things ... ;) )

Maybe that correct a little bit this felling of "model-problem" ... I Agree Behrendt, pretty damn nice effect !

but render time was 17 hours ... Well, in that case ... I've read in other threads that some tips can improve the rendering speed ... ... to use the command line instead of the GUI or set Your objects scale at a tiny factor corresponding with a scale in the real world ... One Blender unit = 1 meter...

That's really better ! ;)
How much time for the render ?

I think the transparent plastic of the pen maybe need more render time, that will wipe out the little noise in it.

Great wood tex ! Where does it come from ? custom shot ?

I'll be looking for Your next threads. :D

Sorry, just mysterious ... These little priceless things that hooks You to the story and makes that You absolutely want to know how it ends. ;)

I'm not a big fan of horror movies, and, as Pibuz, not brave enough to see any till the end ... :D

'Hope I'm not disappointing You ? ;)

I think your model-like image of the mansion is pretty cool, perhaps you'll have something to do with the roof... For sure ... It's a WIP after all ! ;) I've downloaded a trial version of filterforge to create a tex of blue tiles, with both bump and displacement map in addition with the classic dif...

House Portfolio Project

Hello everyone ! :D ( breathing ) I wander along the forum's thread for a month and this is my first topic-post. I'm computer-graphist and plan to evolve to 3d-graphist or 3d-Illustrator ... Before the end of this year if possible. When I was 15-16, I woul'd like to make something with a story I wro...

+1
The atmosphere is warm, peacefull ...

Indigo is capable of great results with wood textures (and others materials, indeed ! ;) ) and if this is Your idea of a crappy floor tex, we'll really enjoy the not-crappy version !

I'm waiting for the next. Keep up the good renders ! :)
