Thanks again for the replies. Ive now understood the edgesplit, thanks to both Kram1032 & zsouthboy for the help :D But im not managing to get the exit portal working. I have followed the suggestion but it appear to make no difference to my rendering times, so I must assume I have not set it correct...

u can improve the rendering-speed by using exitportals. but maybe u already used them! Thats sounds useful. Ive no idea how to do it though. I tried a search but found no info on how. I tried setting my window object as Exit portal under materials but all I get from the render is a black screen (i....

A testament to both Blender and Indigo for noobies....
Im fairly new to Blender and very new to indigo.
But it is impressive that it is possible to create something simple in little time.
This is by no means supposed to be a fantastic creation of any kind, I just hoped it might inspire noobies like me to try and create something equally simple.

Nice image. I don't see any skylight though. But a nice window, yes. Thanks. You cant see the skylight in the scene since it is above the table at ceiling level out of camera shot. The only effects should be sunlight coming through it. If you imagine the ceiling as a plane above the room, in the ce...

Restricting SUN light to specific area's???
I have an interior scene, and my main objects are on a table in the room. Above the table in the room the ceiling has skylights. I want the sky sunlight to shine in through the skylights only (Skylight as in hole in the ceiling), illuminating the table, but currently I cannot manage to get this to w...

Noobie. Will render continue until image is totally clear???
Ive been rendering my first image with Blendigo for 10hours and 46 mins so far, and it still has a grainy look to it. Will the render continue until a point at which it says it has finished or will it just keep trying to render until I stop it. It doesn't look much different to how it looked 8 hours...
