I'm using Skindigo for some time now (not a beginner) and one of the thing that was less great about it when I started to used it was the lack of information.

After some tests I think what the problem is. My scene was a day scene and I had exit portal on the openings, then i was going to make some night shots but left the portals in place. When render with the black background and exit portal Iindigo crash. :( When I remove the exit portal...it works! :D ...

Well, I don't known if this the right way of using but assign a layer to a diffuse material and set a value to the emission, then i click on the Skindigo color piker that gives me a material with that name which controls the color of the light. Pick again on the piker and render. Lets see if the pic...

error using SketchUp Background Color

Hey,

I'm using SKindigo 1.1.8 with Indigo 1.1.9 and when I try to render a scene with Environment set to SketchUp Background Color -> Black, it gives me this error. But if I render with sun and sky it render fine.

any idea of what is the problem? :?

Well,...not everything. My material editor looks weird and i can't change nothing. Any idea?

i finally got SU to work on Wine!! :D (don't ask what i did.)

Now, i what to put Skindigo running, vanaardt. But looking at the rb file i didn't get what i had to do. :oops:

Can you post the file or the modifications?

Thanks for the help! :D I still very new to linux, so i solved the problem with this tutorial. http://news.softpedia.com/news/Unite-Windows-and-Linux-With-a-Single-Mouse-Click-78535.shtml This way i don't need to exit ubuntu and go to windows to use SU and Skindigo. But i´m still waiting for a linux...

Here it is! The final picture from "Vale da Eira". I will do more from different points for the client, but for this one i really happy with it. :D

Sketchup + Indigo with Wine? Anyone?

I'm trying to get of working in windows, but one of the thing that is making me hold on to Dual boot Windows/Ubuntu is Sketchup and Skindigo.
My question is, did anyone try and get it to work? I can't even make SU to work well in Wine, even less Skindigo.
