How to set up a Renderfarm in Indigo
Wouldn't it be nice if you could harness the power of those idle computers lying around the house, and shave your rendertime down to a fraction? In a few easy steps you can! http://www.blenderguru.com/how-to-set-up-a-renderfarm-with-indigo/ Aimed mainly at Blender & Windows users, but I'm hoping it ...

Thanks guys :D Yeah I'm going to re-render it with a higher resolution. But first I've gotta add a few 'home touches' like cushions, magazines, jacket hanging off couch and a cutout of a sexy lady on the balcony  For those interested the house is based off this image that I scanned from an arch...

If the plane is an emitter, it wont reflect anything anymore. That can only be because your map is too white up there ;) Btw: Very nice background but why did you change it? Oh okay. I check out the original image. And I changed it because I needed something high res to see the effect properly. The...

Making an image the background??
Hi guys, I'm looking for a way to make this plane http://www.ironbarkstudios.com.au/misc/background.jpg appear bright and unaffected by light and shadows. At the moment I have it as a simple diffuse material with a UV texture, and it looks like this: http://www.ironbarkstudios.com.au/misc/indigo_ren...

Transparent ground plane with shadow?? I'm stumped.
Hey guys, I've spent around an hour searching the forums, and reading the manual, but I can't seem to find an answer. I'm trying to create a material that can be used on a plane, that accepts shadows only, but is otherwise transparent. Here's a quick blender internal render of what I'm trying to ach...

Just a standard reflection? Can I do that?
Hi, I feel completely stupid for asking this, but it's been bugging me for the past couple of hours, and I can't for the life of me figure it out. I just want a standard sharp reflection - not transparent. I basically want a picture like this one, posted in another thread: http://zsouthboy.com/album...

Indigo needs an RGB image with grayscale values. so you need 3 color channels with 8 bit = 24 bit image but the real information is only grayscale. Ah HAR! Sounds like a solution. So basically I should open the PNG file in Photoshop, click Image > Mode > RGB? Then save it again? That seems pretty b...

Indigo only supports RGB images, so a greyscale image will throw out an error in Indigo (textures need a R, G & B channel, even if they are grayscale). Really?? I was under the impression that the bump map must be grayscale or it wouldn't work. From here: Indigo does not support normal maps, only B...

I've spent 3hrs trying to solve this. Desperate!! (Bump map)
I'm trying to make a wooden plane with a color map and bump map. Whenever I render it I get this: http://www.ironbarkstudios.com.au/misc/indigo_bump.jpg Color? Fine. Bump? Screwed. :x It seems to bunch up all the bump mapping on one edge. Giving it that dark appearance. My guess is it's a UV mapping...
