Hi Estevan, The current Indigo sky+sun model currently doesn't really allow for clouds. You could try turning the sky turbidity up to 6 or so, but that's not really a full solution. You could also try using an HDR EXR environment map, they tend to have lower contrast than the sky+sun model. So usin...

Overcast/cloudy setting?

What is the most realistic way to model freshwater?

simple material test

simple material test in blender+indigo.

top-left: shiny rock-like material, didn't turn out very interesting
top-right: soft bush-like material, used SSS
bottom-left: water
bottom-right: soft orangey-material, used SSS

modeled in blender, rendered in indigo for 5 hours.

And to answer your question in the comment for the second pic, (this might sound stupid if you already know this, but I went for a while not knowing...) to make it look smooth without subsurfing to an ungodly amount of geometry, use the "Set Smooth" button in blender. Hallway In The Sky

Hello.

My name is Estevan Galvez. If you remember eg2k6 (the guy who made the ultra-simplistic renders with the bunnies and whatnot), then you know me. I've decided to start using Blender and Indigo again, and I've also decided to get a new account.

Here is my first render under my new account.
