You're right-- in theory, its pretty easy to get parameters that emulate an eye. As long as the scene is physically based (lighting intensities, etc.), it might even be possible to automatically calculate pupil "aperture," rod-cone ratios for saturation, etc. I think the issue is that, our eyes can ...
