Hmm, I guess you're right. I took a virtual crowbar to one window to see what would happen and the light did indeed shine in:

What am I doing wrong? Windows either white or black

Sketchup original http://javajack.dynalias.net/blender/003.png Here I accidentally left an exit portal texture on the windows http://javajack.dynalias.net/blender/im1190772666.png I changed all those textures to ordinary glass then built an exit portal box around the whole window area (yes, the norm...

Why is everyone thinking it was meant to be transparent/glass? I want glossy solid green just like the blender internal render :) Like a car - solid color but you can see your own reflection in it, dimly.

Zeugs, you lost me. I _don't_ want anything transparent (see the .blend file, filt is set to 0.0 and Ray Transp is unchecked). It's not clear what made you think I wanted transparency since the green object in top picture is not transparent either :)

Actually, I did use the conv button. It converted to Specular material. Try it with my .blend file.

Blendigo 0.8 object turns from green to black

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here? The object ought to be green in both cases. At first extrude a cube several times, then you have the diameter of your ring. Use shape interpolation to create one half of the ring, try to achieve half of a twist. Then delete all the cubes so the half ring stays. Compute normals and finish the ring again with shape interpolation. Thanks, this ...

Yeah, I've used topmod before, but it mostly edits existing models. I'm wondering how much of the starting model was done in topmod and how much was done somewhere else beforehand and imported?

How is the mobius strip in the site's header modeled?

The mobius strip I mean can also be found in the gallery:

How was this modelled? I'd like to try some stuff like that.
