Re: Thinking of getting a new CPU
I'm getting 420k on erotica and I've seen people get 1100k. but on older versions of indigo. I really want to see some updated results.

Thinking of getting a new CPU
I'm considering getting a 2600k or a 3770k, and would like to know how faster would it render under 3.4.16 compared to a 3Ghz Q6600 . It would be great, if anyone would be kind enough to fire up one of the indigo scenes and give me some solid numbers.

Re: exit portal
I may be wrong on this, but I think only maxigo has portals.

Re: Material emission strength
I figured as much, I'm exporting with indigo for max and there's all sorts of things missing one of them being emission scale. It wouldn't have been too annoying but indigo render doesn't have that setting either which led me to wonder what was wrong.

Re: Material emission strength
How come the lights in the material preview scene have the same gain but the image isn't overexposed?

Material emission strength
I have a scene illuminated by 3 planes placed 50 cm away from a lightbox and I'm trying to adjust the exposure. The material has blackbody for base emission with gain value 1. The image is extremely overexposed, the only way to get it under control is to set camera exposure to 1/1000 or EV adjust to...

Re: No GPU usage on HD 7750
I installed the drivers from the AMD site about 2 weeks ago. Anyway, under device information in indigo render it says OpenCL ver: OpenCL 1.2 AMD-APP (1016.4) Driver ver: 1016.4 (VM) Should it say something else? EDIT: Problem solved or more accurate there wasn't a problem, I relied on GPUz to check...

No GPU usage on HD 7750
I know my CPU (Q6600 @3Ghz) isn't that great but is it normal to have 1% GPU usage while rendering. Indigo render detects the card just fine, but I think it should at least hit 10%. Are there any known problems with the 7k series that I don't know?

Re: Volumetric light
I'm not trying to get the basic volume light, I need to replicate the 3d noise effect (fractal/turbulent) volume fog has, which from my understanding can be achieved with ISL.

Volumetric light
Hi, I'm trying to recreate the volume fog effect from 3ds max but ran into a snag, it appears it's only possible with ISL (which is rocket science for my brain) and even with it I haven't found any examples replicating the volume fog effect. I'm pretty sure I'm SOL but I figured I'd ask if it's poss...
