Re: Blender 2.62 Tutorials?
Thanks for getting back to me, dakiru! It's been a while since I've even been able to touch Blender or Indigo but I followed your instructions to a T and it worked out great, except for one thing. I tried it with the monkey but for some reason, it's rotated when it's rendered. Any idea why this migh...

Re: Blender 2.62 Tutorials?
Here's another question for all of you fine folks. How do I go about using the motion blur feature? I just want a still image with the moving object showing the blur. I animated my object & enabled the motion blur check box, but no luck. Can anyone please provide a simple tutorial?

Re: Indigo Renderer and Indigo RT 3.2.14
For some reason I can't enable the Indigo-add on for Indigo RT in Blender 2.63. It shows up but I can't check the box next to it. What can I do to fix this?

Re: Displacement Help?
Your material is too white, you will have stronger shading by using lowering diffuse. I think this is why disp+bump looks interesting : it accentuates (exeedingly) the shading and adds energy loss. But this would be achieved in a more realistic way by using less pure white material Etienne Hi Etien...

Hi Ono & CTZn, Thanks for your input. I think my problem was that I had not enabled View Dependent Subdivision & Subdivision Smoothing. Also, by changing my Subdivision curvature threshold to 0, I was able to achieve the desired result. Still unimpressive in my opinion. newdisplacement1.jpg newdispl...

Displacement Help?
I'm not sure that this is specifically a Blender issue, but since I'm using it I'd thought I'd post here. Here's my problem. I've used the following black & white texture below as a displacement map with positive and negative scale values, and the results were less than satisfactory. Even with up to...

Re: Blender 2.62 Tutorials?
Dakiru, you are the man with the master plan!
Right now I can only afford Indigo RT. Is it possible to upgrade to Indigo Renderer in the future?
I'd love to take advantage of SSS.

Re: Blender 2.62 Tutorials?
Thanks Dakiru and thank you for having me, Lycium. The HDRI lighting worked like a charm, but I can't seem to get a hang of the DOF thing. I followed your instructions to a T but it still didn't work right. I'm not quite sure what you mean by being aware of the scale, but the scale of my monkeys in ...

Blender 2.62 Tutorials?
Hi everyone. I'm new and I downloaded the trial version of Indigo RT. After a little experimenting I wasn't able to do a few of the things I wanted. I tried searching the forum but I was unsuccessful. I do have a few questions if anyone can help. -How do I go about creating a depth of field effect? ...
