So far the white dots appear only when using the standard sky and atmosphere setting from SketchUp/Skindigo here it is the latest image. with some ceramic for the plate as well as some shyness for the apples and grey bottom. now the problem was that the Environment map illumination is to even and so...

Well having a background image makes the white dots disapear...
let me fix now materials and lighting...

Thanks Snorky, That solved the textures problem... It was a bit strange as the wood texture had also a long name but it did pass without problems... anyway. see attached JPG to see how it looks now. there is still two problems, one is the plate texture. which in SketchUp is just a flat color with 95...
