SKIndigo model suddenly decides to not render
I'm panicking a bit right now...My Sketchup model for my arch thesis used to render perfectly a moment ago, with some materials from the materials gallery here and a basic custom perforated material (with blend and an alpha texture). I added a small element to the model (an elevated walkway), saved ...

Re: Procedural perforated aluminum...out of my hands
Sorry about the late reply, but actually it does work! Thank you Pibuz. Unfortunately I've hit another snag. I've been using that method for this whole quarter, and it works great - the material is perforated according to the Sketchup texture. But suddenly, out of the blue, the material stops render...

Re: Procedural perforated aluminum...out of my hands
I'm sorry, but you guys lost me at ISL. With three days I've given up on the procedural aspect, and am now just trying to get a proper perforation. I've tried so many times, to no avail. Attached is a link to the alpha maps I'm using, and an outline of what I'm doing that's not working. https://docs...

Re: Procedural perforated aluminum...out of my hands
That portion works great! Now it's only the procedural portion that I'm still having trouble with. It's how the detail of the perforations changes as it moves around, from larger squares to smaller ones, spaced apart. I thought there were equations involved in making the texture change like that. Or...

Procedural perforated aluminum...out of my hands
Perhaps it isn't the best idea to choose a crazy skin for our studio project...I need to create this material: http://www.archdaily.com/132945/town-hall-hotel-rare/ It's sandblasted aluminum with laser-etched patterns. But I have no idea how to do it. I've attempted regular bumpmaps, which seem to w...

Scaling up textures
I just want to confirm or deny something. If I want to increase the scale of a texture (ie. make a brick in a brick wall texture twice as large) would I use the default Sketchup materials palette (paint tool > edit > texture), or use the Skindigo materials editor? I'm using materials with bump and d...

Sketchup crashes whenever Material Editor is clicked
Actually, it crashes whenever Material Editor, Render Settings, or any of the Indigo features is selected (except for Render), and sometimes it just crashes on its own minutes after startup. I have no idea what's going on; I've been working on a complex Sketchup model and test-rendering scenes befor...

Waterfall/Water wall material?
Quick question: How would you recreate something like this? It's a water wall - basically water runs down a stone face and looks pretty. http://www.waterscapes.co.za/311.html At first I was thinking materials, but then perhaps modeling the actual water and ripples, and applying a water texture. Any ...

Re: Rhino exporter... Again
I'm just going to pop in and say that I use Sketchup and am learning Rhino, and the only thing holding me back is the lack of a good renderer for Rhino. Well, there probably is, but why do you think I'm here? Indigo for Rhino (Rhindigo...heh, got a ring to it) would be great.

Re: Skindigo crash upon exporting
I'll try that, but the download speeds are abysmally slow over here. Perhaps later, but are there any tips for the current version I'm running?

Skindigo crash upon exporting
I have no idea how this started happening...but when I click export, Skindigo loads, with the black screen (time elapsed: 0s, next update 3s), and then the entire computer freezes indefinitely. Nothing works except for the reset button. I really need this to work, since I cannot produce anything for...

Lighting
I realize I've been hogging the Support section of this forum a bit too much, so apologies in advance... But I've been having problems with light layers. I have two light sources set up in a partially indoor scene: A row of computer monitors (set up with the screens as a diffuse emitting material, l...
