Heya Kosmo,

I can only replicate the crash with 3DS export. It's working for me
with OBJ tho ... :?

Yes, same here, works when using obj format.
But there is nothing I can do really. 3ds and obj are both using internal Max exporting routines. Only xml is done by me, Also when you import that "faulty" 3ds file back into Max, then it opens up fine. So the problem seems to be on Indigo side?

About the new version. I think I will not release any new versions before Ono uploads a newer build where the region rendering stuff is fixed. Currently it seems that region rendering doesn't work when the image is larger than 600 pixels or so.

@Kosmo

It's odd that OBJ doesn't work for you. Could you please verify that again
and if it still doesn't work, could you please attach the obj file so I can take
a look at it. Also I would like to know which 3dsmax/Maxigo/Indigo version
you are using right now.

And just for comparison here the size of my exported OBJ:

Code: Select all

1.obj - size: 1,357,714 Bytes

I was testing some 'indigo forbidden stuff' and I found that something is wrong with exported xml. I saw this error before. It seems this happens when I use textures and export xml. But i don't know what this error mean. Did you have something like this before?

Yep, that's a bug.
What Maxigo version are you using?

[edit]
Nevermind.
It will be fixed in the new version 8)

Eh, sry, my bad. Seems like it's working OK. 8)
I just finished some kind of a region tool. Not as good as the standard Max region stuff, but still better than nothing.

Sounds to good to be true suvakas! So when can we expect an update,
with the new camera stuff like "aperture" and "obstacle" map and the
region rendering of course?! And btw. what happened to the scattering
tool? 8)

Well.. there is some bug fixing I need to do first + I haven't even checked out the new alpha and filtering stuff. I hope those are easy to add.

[edit]
Scattering? What scattering? :P
Nah.. I probably won't add it to next release. Maybe sometimes in the future.

Border rendering should work for scales, smaller than half the image width, or so...
try something, bigger, and there should be a bug...

Seems like it's working here. No error messages so far.
Here are some test i did. Image is 800x600 pixels. (it also worked with 2000 pixels)
