I tried it quickly with simple scene and HDRI is not working.
What is "fresnel scale" ?

Under indigo environment :
what is "base" and why there are 2 options for file input ?
for image lightning, what is "base" and why there is input for file ?

Under indigo texture :
Why there is input for file under MAP and why there is filename ? Also on bottom of dialog, there is format option and specify option.

I think its little bit chaotic now, i dont know how to use it. Check images and thanks for expalanation.

Yeah, I find many things confusing as well, I mean great to see some development here.
But people are actually paying to get a working project, If indigo was in beta it would be something else.

At least make some documentation so users can figure out how to use the plugin.

What do you mean? How did you use it?

You might check this: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... ?f=7&t=817 or ask Nick.

"Base" stands for base-emission. There are map slots for setting base-emission and emission, which makes most sense with Indigo Spectrum.
dcm wrote:Why there is input for file under MAP and why there is filename ? Also on bottom of dialog, there is format option and specify option.
Indigo Texture takes might take one of two sources: texture map or direct filename. If source is texture map or file format is not supported it will be rendered on-a-fly before rendering using Destination settings.

That's about it.

i asked Zom-b and he said that fresnel scale is quite old and does nothing in new version.

Thanks for info. Once it will be removed from SDK I'll remove it also.

Awesome, thanks subpixel. I will play with this tonight!

Just quickly:

Postprocess aperture diffraction works on all render modes, but non-postprocess aperture diffraction only works with BIDIR Off. I'm not sure if it's an Indigo or IndigoMax bug.

Indigo gives this error for exported scenes: Error: Scene parsing error: Found unexpected element 'camera_type'. (In element 'camera', around line 164, column 5)

Question: if you are a current Maxigo user, can you move over to IndigoMax and everything stays as is? Or do you have to re-texture and set render parameters from scratch? I am guessing yes??

you have to make everything from scratch

Yes. As mentioned it uses SDK 3.4.4 so you'd need to get Indigo 3.4.4, though I'm not sure if it's public already. I can't do much about it, sorry.

Simply removing that line by hand from the IGS should do the trick ;)

Ah! I must have misread. Thanks SubPixel.

Heh, no. It didn't exist before you mentionned it :)

I know big things like non-blocking/activeshade are probably higher up on your to-do list, but here are a couple of smaller things.

Multiple uv map modifiers on the same object (map channel 1, 2, 3.. etc) don't work.
Nk Data.
Particle Material.
Pflow motion blur error.
Moblur length does not change when duration/shutter speed is changed.
Environment skylight "captured-simulated" model renders as "original".
Exported scenes only show "background settings" when using sun sky, rather than sun/sky settings.
Standard max maps (checker/noise/etc).
Exit portals.
Material Import.

I would love for the color correct map to work even if it is only inside the IndigoTexture. ColorCorrect is so familiar.

Playing with the Environment blend (SUN+EXR)

nice!
how did you use sky and sun in IndigoMax ? Where add sky as environment ?
