[BUG] Export procedurals

Post by dcm » Mon Nov 15, 2010 2:58 am

Hi Suv...just let me know you that export procedurals functions isnt working properly. I tried to use 3ds Max`s noise modifier but noisie is showing on the render but looks weird and it looks like 8bit bug i posted in bug forum.

My knowledge is that indigo needs 32bit data to bump correctly and it looks that maxigo is exporting only 8 bit data and not 32bit. Did you think that you can make internal perlin noise generator as in other exporter ? This feature is very usable to generate bump !

Hey dcm,
Yes, I'm planning to add ISL noise shader at some point.
Currently I'm focused on Maxigo rewrite so I'm not sure I can find time to work on old Maxigo code. It will be osbsolete very soon anyway so...

Thants ISL is great suv ! And would be great if ColorCorrection plugin can work with indigo too. Sometimes we need to make simple bump map/refl/displ from diffuse map without use of Photoshop.! 8)
