Scale - Imperial user

Post by Profoxcg » Tue Sep 21, 2010 4:03 pm

I noticed that on the export there is a parameter for scene scale with a check box that says "GET FROM MAX"
I understand Ingigo is a Metric applicaion, If my scene is imperial, what steps do I need to take to make sure the renderer works well?

Do I need to select the entire scene and scale it by 0.0254 or is there a way for indigo to handle this converion automatically?

Thanks

Yes, Maxigo converts your units to meters.Basically you have to tell Maxigo in what units your scene is modelled.
Scaling a scene manually by 0.0254 equals using inches under Maxigo panel, except Maxigo does it automatically during export and is not "physically" altering your scene.
Picking "Get from Max" means, that Maxigo takes the units info from "System unit setup" dialog of 3ds Max.

Great,

So if my system units are set to Inches, and I am have properly modeled to scale 1:1 within max, by checking such check box Maxigo does the conversion for me and everything is ok. correct?
