With the new Blender 2.5 Render API in the works, it would be really nice to hear what the plans (if there are any at this point) are for an Indigo Blender 2.5 exporter.

I fail to see the point of your post. I mean yeah they will update Blendigo for 2.5 but...did you mean like getting it it's own panel instead of the GUI in the scripts window? I'm confused
@Godzilla: API: In computer science, an application programming interface (API) is an interface that defines the ways by which an application program may request services from libraries and/or operating systems.[1][2][3] An API determines the vocabulary and calling conventions the programmer should employ to use the services. It may include specifications for routines, data structures, object classes and protocols used to communicate between the requesting software and the library.

I know render exporter writers have invested much time and effort in
getting them working well in 2.4x, and getting it working again in 2.5x
will be a big task, however it will also allow much better integration
that does not feel like a foreign system due to the limited extension
capabilities. So I don't expect everyone to jump on this immediately,
but if you don't mind some things being missing and rough around the
edges, we could use feedback.

I'm no expert in these matters so I was hoping for a little insight in what will happen to the Indigo exporter for blender.

Thanks for the post plauritus - we will look into that new api and hopefully will have blendigo ready for when 2.5 comes out as a stable release - that'll be a substantial improvement to the way the renderer integrates.
Smartden - do you have 2.5 installed?

Beautiful! This is the kind of attitude that makes customers very happy

You can get the latest 2.5 versions from graphicall.org and they dont need installing it's just a matter of unzipping it.
Actually I dont think any of them have actual installers its pretty much all zip files. I usually get DingTo's release for windows.

It may not have been coded in yet? Or maybe they hid it somewhere else...
