Having Trouble with Emit

I am trying to export a glowing sphere into indigo but when i export it, it just comes out black. I turned emit up to .7 and nothing changes. Does it have something to do with the exporter.

More than likely you have a tonemapping problem.

Try switching to linear tonemapping.

Blendigo -> Tonemap

Duh :wink:

Nea the bottom you'll see a dropdown menu with "Reinhard" on it. Switch it to Linear.

Would be a good idea as well to make sure your normals are pointing in the right direction.

Also - Are you just using the Emit values in blender and expecting them to work in Indigo? You have to specifically set an Emitter Material in Blendigo if that's the exporter you're.

I am using blendigo. I changed the tonemapping and under materials i choose Emitte=lights+meshes. It still comes out with no light coming from the sphere. Should i get rid of my light source(sun) would that help.

Yes, that is the problem - change the environment to None.

The sun is millions of times more powerful than your emitter right now.

On the same topic: when in Blendigo I set a material to emit and hit render it returns error:

No 'spectrum' element found in meshlight element.

This message is not familiar to me, does someone know what I am doing wrong?

I use Blender 247rc2 (also tried 246), Indigo 1.1.7, Blendigo 1.1.7
