Blending more than two materials?

How do I blend more than two materials??
I remember seeing someone on the forum blending five of them.
Where did I see this, and how can I do this?

You blend blended material
You create four mat, you create two blended with these mats, then you blend your two blended

Or put in a different way (no offence vanessa !) :
- Create your 3 materials, A, B and C.
- Create a blended material, blending with A and B. Let's say its name is AB.
- Create a blended material, blending AB with C.

I take it that you can't use an Emitter in a Blended material? Does anyone have a suggestion for a work around?

What do you want to blend it with?
If you want it to mirror, make a thin (but 3D!) transparent plane in front of it. If you want alpha, thats not possible currently.

Yes.
No. - or maybe yes...
You *can* use a textured emitter

If you blend that from one colour, you want to have, to an other, it would be like a blended emitter.... - though, that for sure wouldn't work in all cases...

let me guess.... you made two meshes, one a bit bigger and with a blend of a null and that metal-material, and the other one, a ball of either an emitter (on) or also the metal material (off)...
I thought, you want to blend two emitters xD
