How to use the Light Layers in Blender?

Post by Macuso » Fri Dec 01, 2017 8:37 am

I made today some tests with the Blender add-on but I can't make to work the Light Layers. Have somebody a short tutorial on how to use them?

All my Light Layers are black.

You create the light layers in the wrong panel, then you assign the scene materials to the light layers you've created. You can find that under the emission panel in the material settings. :)

Yes, I created the layer into the World View panel.

Seems that Point, Spot and Area light are unsupported?

I also had some errors saying:
"Failed to find indigo at '/Applications/Indigo Renderer/Indigo.app/Contents/MacOS/Indigo'.Please make sure you have Indigo installed, and that the path to indigo in the 'Indigo Render Engine Settings' is set correctly."
This I managed to fix by duplicating the "indigo_gui" from inside the '/Applications/Indigo Renderer/Indigo.app/Contents/MacOS/Indigo' and renaming to "indigo".

Now it is working.
