Mapping beveled curves from sapling addon

I would like to use some trees from the sapling addon in blender, but there is a problem with the mapping of the brunches. Unwrapping is not an option in this case.
Is there any way to map beveled curves in blendigo? In blender internal it is possible to use generated mapping and to do some adjustments. Is it possible to use the blender internal texture settings somehow with blendigo?

I don't think there is unfortunately.

I'm not familiar with the addon, but have you tried converting the curves to mesh (Alt+C) "mesh from curve" and once you got your branches as meshes unwrap/uvmap them?

Hello afecelis,
yes I tried to convert it to a mesh, but blender crashed by unwrapping it, maybe because of too many polygons?
Now I tried 'The Grove 3D' addon and that works alright, but I think for someone who doesn't want to use a paid addon it would be useful to know how to use the sapling addon with indigo.
