Confusion and questions about Blendigo

Post by zurkdahool » Thu Aug 27, 2015 2:53 am

Hi,

i am new to indigo render. I am using the indigo rt (full)-version 3.8 in combination with blender 2.75a. At the moment i am confused about Blendigo. I found different versions on the website and in the forum. Also i am missing some functions (for example 'Single Face' checkbox). I am also confused where to find the official source repo for Blendigo. Like the missing function ('Single Face') it took me 10 minutes to implent it but i don't know where to submit the change.

- What is the latest blendigo version?
- Where do i find the offical source code / repo for blendigo?

Regards,
Marco

The single face glass is not implemented yet, for some reason. But it's available in Indigo, so if you save the single face glass material, you can use it as an external in Blendigo. That's my workaround, currently.

Maybe it is a good idea to pass this information to new customers?

@Oscar J:
"The single face glass is not implemented yet, for some reason. "
what is 'some' reason? can you explain it with more details? (i used ~10 lines of code to implent a checkbox/exporter...works fine for me)

Marco

Confusion and questions about Blendigo

You could post that addition here in the thread with the latest Blendigo version:
http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... 2&start=30

I had added a couple of things and user FakeShamus added another one and these changes are all rolled into a version attached to a post later in that thread. It would be grate if we could roll your addition into that version as well. Thanks for the contribution.

I could also not agree more that the it should be explained to new users where the latest version of Blendigo resides! It's been suggested several times but has not received much attention. The push to get Indigo 4.0 out appears all consuming ;-)

"For some reason" in this case means "for reasons that I'm not aware of". :)

This issue is actually cross 3D-App, and should be quite easy to prevent by having a extra line of text and a link to the forum for "up-to-date-but-beta-builds", done in 10 minutes, prevents hours of avoidable user based support on the forums...

Since google code is semi-dead we're just moving the offical repo to github now. Will be ready soon.
