How about an Indigo IMPORTER!?

Yeah, I'm probably pushing my luck a bit. But I reckon it would be really cool if Indigo users, no matter what modelling software they use, could share their XML files and us lucky blender users could import them and muck around with the geometry and materials within blender.

Just a thought.

It's a good idea, but before reinventing the wheel you should have a look at the X3D open standard. It's a royalty free, ISO-ratified format for easy exchanging 3D models, visual effects, etcetera. Afaik blender already has an exporter, but no importer yet.

I haven't any experience with this format yet, but it would be better to press the builders of indigo to keep this X3D format in mind for their source xml files, if they don't already do so, since X3D is an open xml expandable format.

Hm this is a godo idea already thought about that but it will
need some heavy parsing the text file...

So alot of work to code i think ..
