In the exporter options; change "Env Type" to "map", change it from "spherical" to "LatLong" and type in the name of your .exr image. The exr image must be placed at he same folder level as your xml.

That's it! :wink:
ps. you can convert hdri images to exr using the command line tool hdr2exr; grab it here:
http://hem.bredband.net/b230591/hdr2exr ... _win32.zip

ps2. Also check this thread:
http://www.indigorenderer.com/joomla/fo ... ht=hdr2exr

so also remember to use the search function as many of the questions have already been solved. :wink:

thanks a lot afecelis
:P
now it works!

for the beginner as me you must just change in the export settings, probe : none with probe: name of the image.exr.

sorry for my english

good day

Hi, i got a problem with converting a hdr map to exr in console it says "can't lunch file sky0026.hdr in "rb" mode"
What to do in that situation?

Not sure but I think it has to do with the format of the hdr you're using. Is it a spherical probe? Try using a LatLong hdri instead, or convert your existing one to LatLong using HDRSHOP free. Or simply try with another hdr image and if it works try comparing them both to see what's different among them. Also, Indigo likes latlong exrs better; with spherical ones it crashes :?

Remember it has to be done thru a command line window (DOS mode) so it would be cool if you add the executable of hdr2exr to your system's PATH environment variables so you can invoke it from anywhere in your PC. Then all you gotta do is CD (change directory) to the folder where you got your hdri, and simply type "hdr2exr myimage.hdr myimage.exr" and you're done! :wink:

ps. Nice hood!! hehehehhe :wink:

Ive downloaded the hdr shop v1, and i can't find and save the hdr in to proper way.
About the map, im using the free evermotion hdr maps, well maybe you have some direct links to latlong maps i would appreciate that.

the evermotion free maps are latlong; I've converted some of them to exr with no problem. Weird. :?

here's sky0050 converted for you to try:

In case someone doesn't know:
to convert a (lets say) spherical hdr to a latlong hdr,
goto hdrshop->image->panorama->panoramic transformations
source image -> format = mirrored ball
destination image -> format = Latitude/Longitude
-> ok

Hi, ive got a last question about those hdr maps, there's any chance to get more sharpness, on that sky's(?) because it looks little pixelic.
Here's my test scene where is that sky.
