Hi
I am in the middle of rendering an image in Indigo 1.1.5, saving as an IGI file. When I try to open this in Violet, I get the error message: "Invalid image ile: invalid version". I assume this is related to the change of IGI format. Is there any way t open this file for tonemapping?
Thanks
Robert

Can you render your scene ok in 1.1.6 or 1.1.7? If yes, you can do the tonemapping there...
Would be good if the new Indigo could read igi files...

Hmmm... not really, as I'm exporting using Blendigo, which only goes up to 1.1.5 I think. I guess I could try resuming with 1.1.7 after this has finished, just as far as saving a file.
Thanks anyway

You should be able to read scenes generated by Blendigo in Indigo 1.1.7. But without access to any of the new 1.1.7 features of course.

If I remember correctly. To read igis in the new indigo just resume your scene. pause it and then play with the tonemapping settings. Or at least I think thats what ono told me.

Yup, it's a rather roundabout way, but it's the only way currently.

Hmmm... it sounds alright, but whenever I try to run 1.1.7 with or without an igi resume I simply get a C++ exception.

Inversely you may be able to resume your scene with a backwards version of Indigo wich provides a supportable igi.

I'll give that a go later, but won't that cause the same problems as with Violet, namely that the newer version of the IGI spec is incompatible. If this incompatibility is due to additional ignorable information, is this easy or even possible to remove by hand in notepad or similar?
Thanks
