Hi,
we did this little application for internal purposes and we want to share it in this forum.

To work with IndigoExplorer you first need to install microsoft .NET on your PC.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

Indigoexplorer download
updated 14 october
http://www.animax.it/indigo/IndigoExplorer.zip

After that, create a folder, unzip the files into it and run the application.

Set the working folders!

You can import:
lwo, 3ds, Obj.

Navigation:
left mouse button move horizontally.
right mouse button move vertically.
"r" key + mouse = rotates camera
"o" key + mouse = orbit camera around a geometry point
"f" key + mouse = focal lenght
"d" key + mouse = focal distance
"y" key + mouse = dolly
"l" key + mouse = sun position

Sorry, i don't have much time to give you support or to write a detailed manual.
But the application is very simple and useful for simple projects and tests.
By sure it has some bugs and if you make a detailed report we will fix them soon.

Thanks Nicholas for your great Indigorender!

I tryed it, but it doesn't load any file i have exported from blender. I have tryed all three formats you atalk about here, but i coudn't import them as a scene, just as models without textures...

Wow, I actually was in the planning stages of writing something to help with camera positioning, DOF + focus distance (which is such a pain to guesstimate), material previewing, etc...

This looks good too, I'll try it when I get a chance.

Nick, question: is something like this already in the works? (duplicating work that would better off used on other projects would be silly)

BTW regarding material previewing, I'm thinking something like maxwell's preview: in the gui, you have a small (50x50) area, that gets to a few hundred mutations per pixel (using, perhaps, Radiance's material preview scene?)

Then you could make changes to the materials (which would be updated in the xml file as you make changes), etc.

Also, individual light intensities could be tweaked in this editor I am planning.

x riko-kun, yes, Indigoexplorer loads only geometry and not material data.
The materials must be edited in Indigoexplorer.

Awesome app, thanks daros!

Isn't remote matador based on maxwell? Did you guys write this for comparison purposes? Your ixl file is interesting. Thanks also for not encoding it, so we can look inside.

Do you have any example files? I'm having some trouble getting a test render to work. It keeps closing itself after a few seconds of "initial warmup".
